The Law Enforcement Complaints Agency (LECA) has launched a modernized public complaint form designed to create a better complainant experience, improve the quality of information submitted, and support more efficient processing of complaints
Key Improvements:
- Step-by-step guided design that supports more complete and consistent submissions.
- Automatic screening for Special Investigations Unit (SIU) and criminal matters to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
- Targeted questions that help complainants provide clearer and relevant complaint details.
- Enhanced accessibility and bilingual features, along with modern e-signature and confirmation features

These improvements are supported by corresponding changes to the LECA Rules of Procedure, as reflected in the amended Rules that came into effect on April 1, 2026.
